Broccoli planting techniques

1. Soil fertilizer. Broccoli is suitable for growing in soil with a pH of 6.0 to 7.0. If the soil pH is lower than 6.0, acid compost or mixed fertilizer can be used. If the soil pH is higher than 7.0, sulfur sulphides can be mixed. To make the soil more fertile, four inches of mature compost can be added to the soil. If the soil is very poor, organic fertilizers with high nitrogen content can also be added. Organic fertilizers such as alfalfa, cottonseed meal, manure, etc. are very suitable for planting broccoli.

2. Sowing time. Sowing seeds directly outdoors. If it is summer broccoli, it can be planted two to three weeks before the last spring cream. If it is autumn harvest, it can be sown outdoors directly 85-100 days before the first autumn frost. Seed turns in the room. If you want to sow indoors, plant it in a peat pot or other small seedlings, taking care to ensure that there is plenty of sunlight. The indoor sowing is the same as the outdoor sowing, except that no dilution is required when separating the plant seedlings.

3. Field management. Although broccoli likes the sun, but also need a certain shade, dig 1.25 cm deep pits, each row spacing 7.5-15 cm. Seeds of broccoli are soaked in water to soak the soil. But be careful not to leave puddles. Broccoli needs to be well drained. When seedlings grow to 2.5 cm in height, seedlings need to be grown in order to give them enough space to grow. Leaves seedlings that appear to be healthy and sparse seedlings at intervals to ensure adequate space for seedlings.
