Orange pine needle fresh-keeping technology and method

Place the selected citrus fruits in a cool and well-ventilated area for 3 to 5 days. This allows them to lose a small amount of moisture, which helps in better preservation. When preparing the storage container, start by placing a layer of fresh pine needles about 1 to 2 cm thick at the bottom. Make sure the pine needles are free from dirt, moisture, and branches. Then, arrange a layer of citrus fruits with their stems facing upward. Cover this layer with another layer of pine needles, followed by another layer of citrus fruits. Continue this alternating pattern, stacking up to 10 layers or slightly below the top of the container. Finish with a final layer of pine needles on top. Store the container in a cool room where the temperature remains between 5°C and 12°C. Regularly check the fruits during storage to ensure they remain in good condition. This method can keep the citrus fruits fresh until March of the following year, with a high survival rate of over 85%.
