Cultivation Techniques of Kuding Tea

Kudingcha is an evergreen tree of the holly family, which is resistant to moisture, shade, moisture, and immersion. All soils are slightly acidic, and PH values between 4.5-7 can be planted in slightly acidic or neutral loam and sandy loam. Planting areas should be cleared of stones, roots, thorns, and miscanths. Drainage trenches should be opened. The ditch should be 1.2 meters apart and the ditch should be 70 centimeters in length. The length depends on the land, and a sufficient amount of rotting earth fertilizer is used in the ditch. Backfill the soil and raise about 10 cm above the ground. When planting Kuding tea seedlings, we should first select healthy seedlings without pests and diseases, and dig holes according to the “product” shape. The plant spacing is 1.20.5 meters and about 11,10 seedlings per acre (667 square meters) are planted. When planting, dig 30 cm in the middle of the ditch, put Kuding tea seedlings in the center of the pit, and let the roots stretch. Soil (roots can not contact base fertilizer, so as not to damage the roots, affect survival) to half, compaction, and gently raise the seedlings. Rinse the loose soil layer inside the hole with clear water. After the water is dry, cover the loose soil to 3-5 cm above the root. Filling can not be higher than the point of the surface, the loss of waterproof fertilizer, affecting growth. If it is planted after the spring, in order to prevent the sun, cover temporary shades for 10 to 15 days.
After planting, it should be managed scientifically. In case of drought, water should be sprayed every 2-3 days to keep the soil moist and loose; in case of continuous rain, it should be drained. Because Kudingcha is a native of deep forest and old forest, it is better not to use chemical fertilizers, and to use farmyard fertilizers as far as possible in order to achieve the green food standards and lay the foundation for market sales, thus creating conditions for exporting abroad. Due to the bitter taste of Kuding tea leaves, basically no pests and diseases occur.
Kuding tea tree belongs to the evergreen tree, and we often make it dwarf in production. When the kuding tea seedlings are planted and survived, the shoots reach the height of 40 cm, and the top buds are promoted to promote branching and the human fecal urine is applied once. When the shoots reach 10-15 cm, the second topping is performed, and the hanging sticks are lifted. The twigs are spread out 30-40 times, so after repeated 4-5 times pruning, a good tree shape can be formed, and the tea can be harvested and sold in the second year.
