Recently, researchers from the Department of Gastroenterology, General Hospital of Beijing Military Region published a paper to evaluate the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography for submucosal masses (SMT). The study pointed out that various SMT features are different under endoscopic ultrasound. Although endoscopic ultrasonography can show the echo, size, origin and relationship of the mass of the digestive tract, the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of SMT The choice has important guiding significance, but there are still some limitations. Ultrasound endoscopy was performed on 378 patients with SMT during gastrointestinal endoscopy. The shape, number and origin of the lesions under ultrasound endoscopy were recorded, and the lesions were qualitatively diagnosed. According to the actual statistical endoscopic findings in the tumor resection, the coincidence rate of SMT shape, quantity and origin level was determined. The pathological and immunohistochemical examination results of the resected specimens were used as the gold standard to test the coincidence rate of SMT for qualitative endoscopic diagnosis.
Of the 378 SMT cases, leiomyomas (131 cases) were the most common, mostly hypoechoic (87 cases), echogenic (119 cases), originating from the mucosal muscle layer (92 cases), followed by gastrointestinal stromal tumors ( 111 cases), mostly hypoechoic (51 cases) or medium and low echo (51 cases), echo uniformity (78 cases), originated from the muscularis propria (85 cases); again carcinoid (50 cases), internal echo uniform Mostly, it was hypoechoic (36 cases), originated from the submucosa (27 cases); 45 cases of lipoma were also found, which originated from the submucosa, mostly hyperecho (40 cases), echo uniform (41 cases); ectopic pancreas (19 cases), schwannomas (4 cases), granulosa cell tumors (4 cases), etc. are relatively rare. The overall qualitative diagnosis rate of SMT was 78.6% (297/378), the conformity of the shape of the tumor was 91.8% (347/378), and the coincidence rate was 95.5% (361/378). The coincidence rate of origin judgment was 96.8% (366/378).
