Garlic storage management

1. Temperature management. Garlic storage temperature is -0.50.5 °C. The fluctuation range of the temperature of the library is less than 0.5°C. If the temperature inside the library is too high or the temperature changes greatly, it can not only effectively control the respiratory metabolism of garlic bulbs, but also cause water loss within the bags, condensation in the bags, and mildew of garlic bulbs. In addition to trying to keep the temperature inside the library constant, it is also necessary to balance the temperature in various parts of the library. The use of silicon window bags for storing helium has higher and stricter requirements for temperature control. Because of the large temperature fluctuations, it is easy to cause condensation in the bag. For regular bag storage, the bag can be vented regularly to open the bag, and the silicone bag does not open frequently. Condensation in the bag is bound to cause moldy growth of Garlic as early as possible. The early storage period of garlic sprouts is lower than that of the later period. In addition, the temperature in the bags at the early storage period is about 0.5°C higher than the temperature of the warehouse. To prevent the early high temperature from promoting the aging of garlic bulbs, two methods are available for processing: one is the early storage temperature of garlic bulbs. The lower limit can be set at -0.6 to 0.8°C and the upper limit can be increased by 0.5°C. Another method is to open the bag to release heat, that is, open the bag once every 7 days 14 days after entering the storage bag for 1 time. 2. Gas composition management. At present, there are two kinds of air-conditioning storage methods for plastic bags, namely, atmospheric storage of common bags and controlled atmosphere storage of silicon window bags. Ordinary bag air-conditioning storage method uses regular manual bag opening to adjust the concentration of 02 and C02 in the bag. The range of the general atmosphere bag within the general bag is determined to be 02:1% to 2%, C02: 12% to 14%, that is, when the O2 or CO2 concentration in the bag is lower or higher than the above index, the bag must be opened. It's about 4 hours. Silicon window bag air-conditioning method is to adjust the O2 and CO2 concentration in the bag through the permeability of the silicone rubber polymer material and the appropriate air permeability, so as to achieve the purpose of fresh air conditioning. Silicon window bag storage Garlic Seam's air conditioning index is set as O2: 2% ~ 6%, CO2: 5% ~ 8%. If the O2 concentration is too high or the CO2 concentration is too high, it will often cause the garlic pods to age, increase the mildew, or cause CO2 damage. When CO2 exceeds 8%, it will cause CO2 poisoning. However, it is also necessary to have a good grasp of the location, species, and climatic conditions of the year. The high-quality garlic sprouts produced in Shandong, Anhui and northern Jiangsu are more resistant to hypoxia and high carbon dioxide. 3. Humidity management. Garlic has high water content, and it needs to control water loss to maintain its freshness during long-term storage. The freshness of garlic sprouts is generally maintained at 90 to 95% relative humidity. Because of the long storage period of garlic sprouts, if the temperature fluctuations in the warehouse are large, it often causes condensation in the sacks, resulting in moldy and rotten shoots. Therefore, keeping the temperature in the store stable is the key to controlling the humidity in the bag. The relative humidity in the store is 90% to 95%. In particular, it is stored in a silicon window bag, and the relative humidity in the refrigerator is low, which can easily cause the dry consumption of garlic pods. Therefore, if the humidity in the refrigerator is insufficient, the warehouse should be humidified frequently. The method of humidification is usually water spray on the ground, and it is advisable to keep the ground layer of thin ice.
