Researchers will use genetically modified technology to weaken the toxicity of bird flu virus, and then through a series of safety and efficacy tests, strive to mass produce new transgenic bird flu vaccine after 5 years. It is reported that at present, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the vaccine manufacturers have begun preparing animal experiments for the vaccine.
