In 2011, it was the harvest year for the export canning industry in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. In the year, the Taizhou region exported a total of 2784 cans, 74,000 tons, and a value of 110 million US dollars, which was an increase of 0.9%, 11.1%, and 43%, respectively, compared with the previous year. The value of goods exceeded the $100 million mark for the first time.

Canned food has always been the traditional advantage of exporting food in Taizhou. In 2011, the export of soft canned, jelly and canned fish in Taizhou all increased significantly. Especially under the guidance of the inspection and quarantine department, the cans jointly researched and developed by inspection and enterprise enterprises have been unanimously approved by foreign markets. In just two years, it accounted for one-tenth of Taiwan's canned exports.

In order to ensure the quality and safety of export cans in Taizhou, Zhejiang Taizhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau strictly controls the use of raw materials and additives in canned food production, and strictly supervises the entire process from the inspection of raw materials and accessories to finished products.
