How to control the growth of mushroom mycelium

The suitable conditions for the growth of the mushroom mycelium are temperature of 22°C to 26°C, air humidity of 60% to 65%, good ventilation, darkness or low light.

1 to 6 days after inoculation, the mycelium germination and colonization period, due to weak mycelial growth, bag temperature is 1 °C - 3 °C lower than room temperature, to provide suitable temperature for the mycelium, to room temperature is adjusted to 28 °C ~ 29 °C, room temperature, stacking temperature and bag temperature are measured every day, and the bag temperature is the main factor for adjusting room temperature and stacking temperature. At this point should not move bacteria bags to prevent bacterial infections. Not ventilated or lightly ventilated for 3 days.

7 to 10 days after inoculation, mycelium spreads into the material, the temperature of the bag gradually increases, and the room temperature is controlled to 25°C to 27°C. Turn over the pile after 7 days, then turn it over every 7-10 days. During the turn over, the growth of mycelium and the infection of various bacteria were checked bag by bag. Found that the leakage of inoculated bags or inoculated holes without bacteria, should be concentrated in other places, remove moldy spots, and apply 5% to 10% lime water the affected area, culture room ventilation 1 or 2 times a day, each time About 30 minutes.

11 to 20 days after inoculation, mycelium enters a vigorous growth period, and various metabolic activities are accelerated. The temperature of the bag is 1°C-5°C higher than room temperature, and special attention should be paid to cooling and ventilation. The room temperature was controlled to 20°C to 24°C and ventilation was conducted for 1 to 2 hours per day.

20 days after inoculation, due to a large number of mycelium growth, the oxygen in the bag could not meet the requirements for mycelial growth. Hypoxia was a limiting factor in the growth of mycelia. The tape on the inoculation points should be removed in time, or oxygen should be increased by puncture. The first puncture was performed when the diameter of the mycelium was 8 to 10 cm. Use a sterile toothpick to puncture 6 to 10 holes in the leading edge of the mycelial circle. The hole depth cannot touch the material layer. When the hyphae are connected between the inoculated points, a second puncture aeration is performed with a sterile sweater needle. When the mycelium is full of bags, use sterile chopsticks to pierce the hole in the bag. The number and depth of the puncture will depend on the temperature and hyphal growth. When the temperature is high, the hole is pierced and the hole is deepened. On the other hand, the hole is shallow and the hole is shallow. After the tape is peeled off or punctured, the mycelium accelerates growth and the temperature of the bag will rise suddenly. At this time, it is necessary to increase the amount of ventilation and to evacuate the bacteria bags to prevent burning. After 30 to 50 days, the mycelium is covered with bacteria bags, which can be used to change the color of bacteria and manage physiological maturity.

Bacteria tube transformation is a special physiological process of mushroom mycelium development, and it is also a sign of the development of mycelium. Bacteria tube suitable conditions for color conversion: temperature 18 °C ~ 24 °C, microclimate air humidity around the bacteria is 80% to 85%, there is some scattered light and good ventilation conditions. When the mycelium is full of bags, the shade should be removed to increase indoor lighting. Room temperature strictly controlled at 20 °C ~ 24 °C, the temperature difference should not be too large, less mobile bacteria bags. If cultured in large bags, the color change and physiological maturity of the fungus tube will be 25-30 days; if it is cultivated in a small bag, the color change time will be 10-15 days. During this process, the hyphae gradually fall down and secrete brown pigment, turning the fungus tube from white to brown-red. Appropriate color-changing conditions, uniform color change of the bacteria cells, uniform thickness of the pellicle film, and neat mushroom production result in high yield and good quality. If the color is too light or uneven, the quality of the mushrooms will be poor and there will be more malformed mushrooms. If the color is too heavy and the pellicle is too thick, the mushroom will be slow and the yield will be low
