Jinfu mushroom, also known as the giant mushroom or lobayi mushroom, is a newly introduced high-quality edible fungus. It has a thick and tender texture, with a sweet, delicious, and fragrant flavor, making it highly nutritious. The yield can reach 10-15 kg per square meter, with fresh mushrooms priced at 5-7 yuan per kilogram, and dried mushrooms reaching up to 150-180 yuan per kilogram. As a high-temperature variety, it thrives in summer, allowing farmers to capture a significant share of the summer market. Its excellent economic value makes it popular both domestically and internationally.
**Technical Measures:**
1. **Site Selection:** Choose a location close to a water source, with good drainage and sandy soil. The land should be well-drained and easy to manage.
2. **Planting Season:** Jinfu mushroom is a high-temperature variety, with optimal mycelium growth between 16-32°C. Planting is typically done from March to May or May to October, depending on local climate conditions.
3. **Planting Spacing:** Arrange the bags in a 25x15 cm pattern, with 25-30 cm spacing between rows and 10-15 cm between individual bags. Approximately 25-30 bags are planted per square meter.
4. **Soil Covering Technique:** After the mycelium is fully grown, the material bags are placed into trenches 20-30 cm deep. A layer of lime powder is applied to sterilize and prevent pests. The plastic bag is then removed, and the mushroom rods are vertically inserted into the trench. A 3-5 cm gap between the rods is filled with sterilized soil. Bamboo arches are set up at the entrance, and black plastic film is used to cover the area while maintaining proper moisture levels.
5. **Fruiting Management:** After covering the soil, maintain humidity with a relative air humidity of 85%-90% and a temperature range of 10-30°C. Ensure good ventilation to promote the development of primordia. About 15 days after planting, the mycelium will reach the surface, and mushrooms will begin to appear within 25-30 days.
6. **Timely Harvesting:** From the formation of the mushroom buds to full maturity, it takes about 5-7 days. Harvest when the caps are thick and compact, and the veil is intact. Delayed harvesting leads to over-ripening and reduced quality, while early picking affects yield. After harvesting, clean the substrate, remove old mycelium and residual stems, dry the surface to avoid water accumulation. After 5 days of drying, rehydrate the substrate to encourage a second flush. A second batch of mushrooms usually appears within two weeks, and three harvests are typically possible.
7. **Pest Control:** Although Jinfu mushroom has strong resistance, it is still vulnerable to mold in dead mycelium. After each harvest, promptly remove leftover mushrooms, stems, and dead primordia. Keep the growing area clean to prevent fly infestations. If pests appear, use insecticide diluted 800-1500 times. For fungal issues like green mold or Penicillium, apply carbendazim or penicillin at a 500-times dilution.
