Drinking water sanitation supervision and monitoring work will be held

In 2011, the National Sanitary Supervision and Monitoring Conference on Drinking Water was held in Beijing recently. Vice Minister of Health Chen Xiaohong attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Chen Xiaohong requested that all localities should have a unified understanding, clearly define their positions, accurately grasp the scope, duties, and major tasks of drinking water hygiene supervision and monitoring; they must pay close attention to the construction of important systems for drinking water hygiene supervision and monitoring, and establish and improve information reports and response mechanisms for water pollution incidents. To strengthen the city's drinking water sanitation supervision work, closely focus on the specific requirements of equalization of basic public health services, in-depth rural water plants to carry out inspections, and steadily promote rural drinking water sanitation supervision; focus on strengthening grassroots drinking water sanitation supervision and monitoring, gradually To solve the problem of inadequate supervision and monitoring personnel at the grass-roots level; to make full use of the training programs of health personnel supported by the central government, to plan the training of talents for drinking-water health professionals and to further improve the professional qualities of personnel; to actively report to the local government and strengthen cooperation with related departments. Communicate with each other, earnestly study relevant national plans, seize opportunities, and strive for local government input, and vigorously strengthen supervision and monitoring capabilities.

At the meeting, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention introduced the status of drinking water sanitation monitoring throughout the country. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health and the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Health conducted experience exchanges on drinking water sanitation supervision and on-site inspection of drinking water sanitation supervision. The Ministry of Health supervised The bureau introduced the main contents of the guidance to be issued on strengthening the supervision and monitoring of drinking water hygiene. The meeting also organized an on-site inspection of the health supervision work of rural water supply units in Beijing.
