Hybrid sheep breeding and management

The Boer hybrid sheep obtained by crossing Boer goats with local goats have good production performance and should give full play to their advantages. The following points should be mastered in management.

Appropriately improve feed nutrition

The growth and development of hybrid sheep is fast, especially in the 6 months to 9 months after birth, the body weight can be double compared with the local sheep, and the demand for nutrition is relatively high. Therefore, it is necessary to make appropriate supplements on the basis of the local sheep diet. feed. Hybrid sheep born in spring are usually fed in other places with good forage resources, except for pre- and post-weaning and pre-marketing fattening. The early growth and development will be affected and the feeding effect will be poor.

Strengthen management

In addition to doing a good job of day-to-day management, we must timely castrate and periodically deworm. Lamb castration is usually carried out about two months after birth. In the spring and autumn, the flukes and worms are driven once every two months. The locusts are driven once every two months, and the ectoparasites are flooded once every spring and autumn.

Short-term fattening

Short-term fattening was conducted 1 month before the hybrid sheep were slaughtered. Under normal grazing conditions, hybrid sheep of about 6 months old were fed 150 grams of corn, 100 grams of bran, 50 grams of pods, and 3 grams of bone meal each day. After about 1 month of fattening, the hybrid sheep can gain 6 kg to 8 kg.

Lamb listed in the year

Hybrid sheep have a fast growth rate in the early stage. Generally, the body weight from 6 months to 9 months can reach 25 kg to 30 kg. Even hybrid sheep born in the fall can grow to 20 kilograms around 4 months of age as long as they strengthen nutrition and provide reasonable supplements. In addition, a reasonable arrangement of breeding time is also an effective measure to ensure that lambs are listed in the current year.

Using additives

The additives commonly used in goats include mineral additives, rare earth feed additives and insecticide-resistant health additives, etc. The rational use of additives facilitates the growth of goats. If 0.02% of rare earth is added to the fattening sheep diet, the daily weight gain can be increased by 17.1% within 60 days.

Royal Jelly is also called Bee Milk. The fresh royal jelly is slightly ropy milk paste  substance; it is the excretive mixture of nutrition gland and maxilla gland of the head of little worker bee. The worker bees use this to feed the 1-3 days` worker bee larva and drone larva, 1-5.5 days` queen bee larva and queen bee in the oviposition period. The royal jelly is the biologic product containing very complicated active elements which contains almost all the nutrition elements required by the growth of the human body.
