1. In addition to scaling, place two large, peeled, and seeded loofahs into a water tank and rinse them regularly. This helps maintain cleanliness and improves the efficiency of the system.
2. If the piston ring lacks sufficient elasticity, replace it with a new standard ring of the same type. To check the old ring, position it vertically along its circumference, ensuring the ring gaps are horizontal. Press both rings by hand. If the new ring’s gap opens while the old one remains closed, the old ring is still flexible and can be reused safely.
3. Repair a damaged paper gasket by applying a small amount of butter on both sides. Cut two thin white papers matching the size of the gasket, and attach them to each side. Place the repaired gasket back into the machine and tighten the nuts to prevent oil leakage effectively.
4. Bleed air from the pump. In the S195 diesel engine, the rotor oil pump may fail to draw oil if air is trapped inside. To fix this, use a medical waste needle to fill the pump inlet with oil, then turn the oil pump until oil flows out from the outlet, ensuring all air is removed.
5. Address oil leaks at the connection between the high-pressure fuel pipe’s nozzle and the injector or oil valve. The seal depends on the precision of the contact surface and the tightness of the union nut. If the contact surface wears out, cut a round copper sheet from an old cylinder pad, make a small hole in the center, and place it between the convex head and concave pit to restore the seal.
6. Clean the iron filter of the air filter. It is difficult to clean using diesel oil. If the filter element is oily, carefully ignite it and burn off the residue. After extinguishing the fire, tap the core gently with a wooden stick to remove the burnt particles, leaving the filter clean and functional.
7. Remove dirt from the fine filter. The dirt inside the rotor oil filter is hard to clean. Apply a layer of butter to the inner wall of the rotor, let the dirt adhere to the butter, then remove the paper to eliminate all the dirt thoroughly.
8. Bend copper tubing easily. Since copper tubing is hard, it's challenging to shape. Heat the area you want to bend using charcoal until it turns red, then quickly cool it in water. This makes the tube soft and easier to bend without breaking.
9. Remove the outer retaining ring of the deceleration gear. On the Dongfeng-12 model, the elastic retaining ring is tough to take off. Use a wire: insert one end through the small hole in the ring after tightening, wrap the other end around a screwdriver, pull tightly, and rotate the drive wheel back and forth several times to remove the ring successfully.
10. Fix sagging tires. Take two tablespoons of talcum powder, remove the valve core, let the inner tube deflate, and use a hard paper funnel to insert the valve. Pour the talc powder into the inner tube. Once the powder is fully inside, remove the funnel, turn the wheel, and inflate the tire completely. The talcum powder will spread inside and cling to the inner walls, sealing small air leaks and preventing them from spreading further.
