The canned cultivars were transferred to the cultivation room, where the kraft paper and caps were carefully removed, leaving a breathable polypropylene film in the center. The opening was 2 cm in diameter, allowing for both air and light penetration while maintaining an optimal level of humidity. The management of the cultivation room followed the same procedures as plastic bag cultivation. Humidity was kept between 80% and 95%, with the room temperature maintained at 10 to 15°C, which is ideal for the initial growth phase. If the temperature rises to 20 to 28°C, it's necessary to open the windows for ventilation during midday and then mist the area to maintain moisture.
Once the primordia (ear buds) begin to appear, the bottles should be placed horizontally. At this stage, the plastic film cover is removed to increase air circulation and humidity. The mushrooms are harvested once they fully mature and flatten out. This method ensures a high yield, with approximately 0.8 to 1.0 kilograms of fresh mushrooms produced from 1 kilogram of dry substrate. The process is efficient, easy to manage, and suitable for small-scale or home cultivation setups.
