Herbage Introduction - Sorghum

Sorghum is a thermophilic plant with no drought resistance at the seedling stage, a suitable growth temperature of 24 to 33°C, strong disease resistance and strong regeneration ability, and can harvest 3 to 4 tons per year. Hay contains more than 15% crude protein, high sugar content, suitable for silage. All kinds of livestock and poultry eat, for the grass period from May to October.

Seeding capacity sowing 2 to 3 kg per acre.

Seeding method can be drill or hole sowing, drilling row spacing is 45 to 50 cm, sowing depth of 1.5 to 5 cm, spacing 10 to 20 cm.

Field management promptly removes weeds, and timely irrigation and fertilization during the tillering and jointing stages. Grass height 60 to 80 centimeters can be castrated, leaving tenon height: 10 to 15 centimeters. After each castration, 5 to 10 kilograms of urea per acre are applied, and weeding and weed control prevent aphids.
