Tomato rot

Symptoms: The color of the Fruit is uneven, and the skin is black outside. In lighter-onset fruits, part of the vascular bundle became brown and necrotic. Although the shape of the fruit did not change, the vascular bundle did not turn red. In the heavier diseased fruits, the vascular bundles of the flesh were dark brown in color. The dysplasia of the diseased fruit was caused by dysplasia of the placenta tissue, and some of them were accompanied by empty fruit. The surface of the fruit showed uneven red and Green color. In severe cases, the diseased part appeared pale green and the surface became hard.

The most important manifestation of tomato tendon rot is poor fruit coloring. Insufficient illumination, imbalance of NPK, and root injury can cause poor fruit coloration. To sum up, it is caused by unfavorable cultivation conditions. Although vegetable farmers do a lot in management, they may not all be right.

First, the shade net covers all day, resulting in insufficient light. The purpose of setting sunshade nets is to create a suitable growing environment for vegetables when light intensity is strong at noon. However, many vegetable growers often do not manage after covering shade nets, resulting in insufficient lighting of vegetables. The lack of light hours, especially in the case of light hours less than 7 hours, the incidence of tendon rot is higher. It is recommended that farmers friends, shade nets only cover in the sunny afternoon, in the evening and rainy days to be removed in a timely manner to ensure that the tomato's light time and light intensity.

Second, when fertilizing nitrogen, potassium imbalance. The amount of potash required for tomato in the result period is about 1.8 times that of nitrogen fertilizer. When topdressing, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer is too large, potassium is insufficient, and the incidence rate of tendon rot is high. In addition, frequent application of manure has also increased the occurrence of the disease. Therefore, the ratio of nitrogen and potassium should be coordinated when topdressing.

Third, root injury leads to a decrease in the ability to absorb water and nutrients and the incidence is high. In summer, the temperature is relatively high and the amount of water evaporation is large. Some vegetable farmers over-watered to promote the rapid growth of tomatoes, resulting in root injury and promoting the occurrence of tendon rot.

For greenhouses that have rotted rot, the potassium dihydrogen phosphate 200-300 times can be sprayed on the leaves in the case of enhanced light to quickly supplement the nutrients and reduce the risk of fruit rot in later fruits.
