Major preventive measures:

1 Strictly control the sowing period and the planting period. The sowing date should be controlled after the frost falls (late October). It should not be too early, otherwise the bolting rate is high. The colonization was too early because the large area of ​​nutrients in Honda, the rapid growth of seedlings, and the larger wintering plants, which are prone to premature bolting; the later the sowing, the smaller the wintering plants, the later the development, the lower the bolting rate.

2 Use winter strong, difficult to immature bolting varieties. Such as chicken heart, beef heart, Jingfeng No. 1 and other varieties for spring cabbage cultivation is not easy bolting. Even if the winter-weak varieties are late sowing and young plants are overwintering, it is difficult to avoid early bolting. Therefore, to avoid early bolting of spring cabbage, we must first solve the problem of spring cabbage varieties.

3 Control the fertilization at the seedling stage. If spring cabbage is over-fertilized during seedling stage and over-sized when overwintering, it is easy to feel the influence of low temperature. Through development, unripe bolting phenomenon occurs. Therefore, the control of fertilizer after planting, do not make the winter seedlings grow too prosperous, can reduce the early bolting rate or avoid the occurrence of early bolting.

4 For the implant. Prosthesis can inhibit the size of seedlings, generally in the production of spring cabbage must be pre-implanted, such as excessive growth, can be false twice, but the number of false grafts, has an adverse effect on the yield.

In addition to the above technical measures, we must also use pure seeds. The varieties are not pure and often cause premature bolting.

It is very important to control unripe bolting in spring cabbage cultivation techniques, but to achieve high yields, we must also pay attention to other technical measures. For example, Spring Cabbage has strict requirements for top dressing, and it is the key to prevent early bolting and seize high yields. Temperature increases in spring, plant growth is accelerated, topdressing promotes growth, so that the growth process exceeds the development process. Even through the development of the plant, due to the relationship between topdressing, nutrition can grow more than reproductive growth, to avoid the early bolting, to achieve the purpose of the ball. In the spring drought, irrigation should also be strengthened. In addition, the prevention and control of insect pests such as Pieris rapae and Plutella xylostella must also be well done so as not to affect the yield and quality.
