Diesel engine winter start "Seven Don't"

When the diesel engine is started in the winter, due to the low temperature and the high viscosity of the engine oil, starting difficulties often occur. Therefore, the following points must be observed when starting the engine.

Do not use an open flame to grill the oil pan. Grilling the oil pan with an open flame not only affects the life of the engine, but also easily deteriorates the oil and reduces the lubrication effect.

Second, do not add cooling water at startup. If you do not add cooling water at start-up, wait for the diesel engine to start before adding cooling water. It will cause the temperature of the water tank due to sudden cold water and cause the body cylinder head cracks.

Third, do not add boiling water. Adding 100°C boiling water to the cold body will also crack the cylinder head and body. It should be added when the boiling water is cooled to 60-70°C.

Do not start the fire with an open flame at the intake pipe. Pilot start will make the ash and hard debris generated by the combustion of the material into the cylinder, causing the intake and exhaust valve to close and increase the cylinder wear.

Fifth, do not add oil from the intake pipe. Adding oil from the air intake pipe will cause carbon deposits on piston piston rings and other parts, which will reduce the service life.

6. Do not remove the air filter and start it. Taking off the air filter and starting the absorption of fire will cause the unclean air to enter the moving parts such as cylinders and valves, which will aggravate the wear of the parts.

Seven Do not start continuously for a long time. The engine on a diesel engine works under low voltage and high current, and it will damage the battery if it is used for a long time. Therefore, the continuous working time must not exceed 5 seconds. If it does not start once, it should be restarted after 15 seconds.
