Recently, the "China Experts' Consensus on Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Control" and the "Health Starts from Heart" National 100 City Tour Summary Meeting were held during the 20th Great Wall International Cardiology Conference.
According to the chairman of the Cardiovascular Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Professor Hu Dayi of Peking University People's Hospital, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases accounted for more than one third of the global deaths due to illness. In China every 13 seconds, one person died of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. It has become the first cause of death for Chinese people, accounting for 40% of the total cause of death in China.
Facing the challenge of increasing the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and the mortality rate of death and disability, Professor Hu Dayi initiated and formulated expert consensus and 100 city tour activities. Since its launch in April 2006, the event has received strong support from the Chinese Medical Association and the Chinese Association of Geriatrics. By actively promoting the concept of evidence-based medicine, imparting knowledge about cardiovascular disease prevention, promoting standardized practice, and evidence-based medication, the gap between clinicians, especially grassroots doctors, in guidelines and consensus and clinical practice has been narrowed, effectively improving the mind and brain of our country. The level of diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.
At the meeting, Professor Hu Dayi pointed out that at present, there is a shortage of medical equipment in various areas of China, and the level of diagnosis and treatment is uneven. The treatment of cardiovascular diseases faces enormous challenges. However, there are few guidelines in the cardiovascular field in China, most of which are transplanted from the translation of European and American guidelines, lacking clinical evidence of the Chinese population, and insufficient implementation and promotion of the guidelines. After the launch of the “Expert Consensus and 100 City Tour” project, it has received strong support and active participation from many experts and scholars. Making full use of the advantages of authoritative experts owned by the association, integrating multi-party medical resources, and selecting projects suitable for the needs of doctors, not only authoritative, professional, and national, but also attracted the participation of grassroots doctors everywhere, and thus strengthened The dissemination and promotion of scientific research achievements in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in China.
Professor Hu Dayi stressed that China is currently facing serious challenges in cardiovascular disease, and the cardiovascular disease prevention and control business has a long way to go. It is hoped that under the important historical opportunity of promoting the medical cause of China in the "Healthy China 2020" plan, we will continue to hold high the banner of "public welfare, prevention, standardization and innovation" and adhere to one center, two orientations and three returns. That is to take the majority of patients and public health as the center; for community and rural medical staff, medicine returns to humanities, returns to the clinic, returns to basic skills. It will explore the multi-win innovation model led by the society, and mobilize the government and social forces to integrate relevant resources to further accelerate the popularization of evidence-based medicine among grassroots physicians in China.
As the executive chairman of the project, Prof. Ma Changsheng from Anzhen Hospital introduced the guidelines and consensus. The purpose of developing guidelines and consensus is to establish evidence for disease diagnosis and treatment based on evidence-based medicine, regulate the clinical behavior of doctors, and protect the interests of patients and the public. As of August 2009, the consensus project has completed a total of 54 expert consensus, guidelines, and 11 compilation and translation guidelines. More than 570 core experts participated in the drafting, discussion and validation of consensus, and 35 professional magazines and media participated in the report, affecting more than 100,000 people participating in grassroots doctors. Professor Ma Changsheng pointed out that the development of this series of consensus is based on the principle of “public interest, evidence-based and practical”, giving full play to the extensive participation of the Standing Committee and members of the Cardio-cerebral Professional Committee and the Cardiovascular Physician Branch, and adopting expert drafting and validation, doctors. The mode of online interaction and media three-dimensional publicity has made every consensus in the process of production, with tens of thousands of people's attention and participation.
Professor Ma also introduced that the 100-city tour as a communication carrier for advocating evidence-based and promoting academics has effectively improved the level of diagnosis and treatment of grassroots physicians in China and protected the health benefits of patients and the public. As of August 2009, the event covered 136 cities in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and patrols 204 times. More than 130 cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease experts from China participated in consensus formulation, courseware review and city lectures. The affected population reached more than 50,000 people. Shanghai Medical Device Industry Association
