Large-scale planting in Xinjiang can refine "biological gasoline" sweet sorghum

The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has recently planted sweet sorghum suitable for the production of fuel ethanol on about 20,000 mu of arable land in the south, which means that the pace of development of local biomass energy has further accelerated. The recently launched sweet sorghum ethanol project was jointly developed by Sache County and Zhejiang Haoqi Biomass New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. According to reports, the annual production of 300,000 tons of sweet sorghum stalks to produce anhydrous fuel ethanol project will be completed within 5 years, 4 townships in Shache County will plant about 20,000 acres of sweet sorghum suitable for industrial use, a total investment of 1.26 billion yuan. After the project is completed, farmers can increase income by 150 yuan to 200 yuan per mu, and bring more than 3,500 local people to employment.
At present, Xinjiang has more than 40 million mu of reserve land resources. If 10 million mu of land is used as a sweet sorghum planting base, it can produce 2.8 million tons of ethanol with a purity of 95% and then 2 million tons of ethylene, if these products are from crude oil. In the extraction, you need 6 million tons of crude oil.
