(1) Soil Preparation To ensure high-quality and high-yield production, it's essential to start with well-prepared soil. Choose a rich, organic soil that is loose and well-draining. Before planting, incorporate 2,000 kg of organic compost per acre as a base fertilizer to enrich the soil with nutrients. Create raised beds that are 1.5 meters wide, which helps with drainage and makes it easier to manage the crop during growth. (2) Sowing and Seedling Care The planting season can begin from March to November, depending on your local climate. After sowing, the seedlings will typically be ready for transplanting around 50 days later. At this stage, the plants should reach a height of about 20 cm and have 3–4 true leaves. When transplanting, maintain a spacing of 30 cm between rows and 30 cm between individual plants to allow for proper air circulation and root development. (3) Field Management Throughout the growing period, it's important to keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the early stages of growth. Since the harvest period can last up to two months, it’s recommended to apply a top dressing of urea every two weeks. A typical application rate is 7–10 kg of urea per acre to support healthy growth and maximize yield. Regular weeding and pest monitoring are also essential to maintain a clean and productive field.
