(2) Local materials: hollow bricks, red bricks, steel frames, wooden rods, cement rods, clay tiles, etc. can be used for building materials. (3) Ventilation and light transmission: The window area should not be less than 1/5 of the area of ​​the sheep house, and the sunny side of the sheep house can be opened. (4) Insulation moisture: In winter, the temperature in the house should not be lower than 0°C, and the lamb house should not be lower than 10°C. The floor of the sheep house should be 20-30 cm higher than the ground outside, and the ground should be paved with gentle slopes to facilitate flushing and drainage. It is advisable to build elevated sheep houses.
(b) Types of sheep houses
1. Single-slope sheep house This type of sheep house is a simple sheep house suitable for small-scale sheep-raising communities. The back wall of the sheep house is 1.8 to 2 meters high, and a sports field is located facing the sun in the south. The sheep house floor is covered with 20 to 30 centimeters of earth and laid in a gentle slope to facilitate drainage and keep the house dry. In the cold winter and spring seasons, weeds are planted and diligently replaced.
2. Elevated sheep houses This type of sheep house is required to be high, which is suitable for the construction of sheep farms in the sheep breeding area. The sheep house is a double slope type, with a height of 2.5 meters. There is an aisle and a playground outside. In order to keep the house dry and clean, an elevated bottom can be set up 50 cm above the ground. The bottom of the ring can be prefabricated with steel bars and cement, and the gap is preferably 1 to 1.5 cm so that the excrement can be discharged. A slope between the playground and the ground in the house (the slope ratio should not be greater than 1/2) allows the goat to enter and exit freely.
(c) Sheep house facilities
1. The stadium is located on the sunny side of the sheep house, and the area is 2 to 3 times that of the sheep house. The ground is required to be dry and the drainage is convenient. The sheep lively loves to ascend and can set a high platform within it.
2. Feedlot sheep love to clean, do not eat floor grass or trampled dirty grass. In order to reduce waste and rational use of fodder, you can set up a feeding trough and hang it on the wall or place it on the floor. The height of the trough should be level with the back of the sheep.
